ITIL® V3 Foundations Training

ITIL®(Information Technology Infrastructure Library) is the most widely accepted approach to IT Service Management in the world. ITIL provides a cohesive framework drawn from the best practices of public and private sectors internationally. This course introduces students the V3 lifecycle of managing IT services to deliver to business expectations.

This 3-day course covers the ITIL® Version 3 best practices which are composed of five core disciplines: Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operations and Continual Service Improvement. These disciplines represent a service life cycle framework that further enhances alignment to the business while demonstrating business value, ROI and enabling IT to solve specific operational needs.  Upon completion of the ITIL® V3 Foundations course, students will have “foundational” knowledge of the functions, roles, and processes that span the service lifecycle. Students will be able to correctly:

  • articulate key concepts
  • use common terminology
  • describe overall goals, benefits, activities, and success factors
  • recommend metrics
  • discuss the basic cross-functional dependencies for each
