In this blended learning workshop participants learn the fundamental tools and techniques of business analysis from an enterprise, project and implementation perspective. Good business analysts understand how to develop stakeholder relationships and work with stakeholders to elicit requirements. However, eliciting requirements is only one part of good business analysis. Requirements also need to be planned, analyzed, documented, communicated, managed, tested and verified through the project life cycle to realize the total benefit of good business analysis. This workshop emphasizes the technical effort as well as providing real-life practice in effective human relationship building, communications planning and day to day execution.
Participants are introduced to the fundamentals of business analysis through the lecture and guidance of an experienced business analyst. Then they practice and learn how to apply best practice business analysis skills through a computer simulation. In teams of four, participants actually plan and manage a simulated real-life business analysis project. They learn what it feels like as they make real decisions and get real feedback. The simulation powered learning is practical, engaging, intense and challenging. It’s designed to give you the practice and confidence you need to apply your new skills back at work.
